The AirEther™ AB54, AB54E and AB54E Pro are low cost wireless base station products, and the products are designed for carrier class outdoor wireless applications capable of operating at one of the four modes, such as Access Point, Wireless Bridge, Repeater mode or Long Range Client Bridge. The AB54 and AB54E are manufactured with an IP67 certified weatherproof enclosure and the AB54E Pro is manufactured with an IP68 certified weatherproof enclosure and all of these systems are designed for Near Line of Sight conditions. The radio performance of the AirEther AB54, AB54E, and AB54E Pro is designed and optimized for long range and high throughput wireless communications based on the IEEE 802.11 b/g standards.

The AirEther AB54/ AB54E/ AB54E Pro is the most robust and affordable 54 Mbps wide area wireless bridge/router and is an ideal solution for public parks, outdoor shopping malls, marinas, stadiums and other outdoor venues. The AirEther AB54/ AB54E/ AB54E Pro are IP68 certified and built with die-cast all-weather housing that is dust-proof and protected from strong water jets and/or constant immersion. The AirEther AB54/ AB54E/ AB54E Pro easily provides an outdoor wireless backbone to the Internet or LAN. With the AirEther AB54, Internet Service Providers can cost-effectively deploy last mile access networks for business and residential customers in medium-sized communities.
Flexible Backhaul Systems to Expand Wide Area Wireless Networks
The AirEther AB54/ AB54E/ AB54E Pro offers flexibility and can function as either a wireless bridge or a wireless router, connecting LANs to remote buildings and locations. The economical backhaul alternative to a leased line, the AirEther AB54/ AB54E/ AB54E Pro can function reliably as a wireless backhaul to link and network remote branch offices, creating a wide area wireless LAN for your wireless communication needs.
Secure and Reliable Outdoor Network Extension and Backhaul Applications
The AirEther AB54/ AB54E/ AB54E Pro provides secure and reliable connectivity with IEEE 802.1x authentication and 64/128-bit WEP and WPA with TKIP & AES 152-bit encryption between wireless clients, e.g. laptops, PDAs and LANs. The system can be easily integrated into existing networks and network management systems. The IEEE 802.1b SSID is hidden for site survey presentation. Firewall features include a MAC address filter, DoS and IP-based access control.
